The EBMT is a non-profit medical and scientific organisation which hosts a unique patient registry providing a pool of data to perform studies and assess new trends.

Your mission

Oversee all elements of the Annual Meeting of the EBMT, the flagship event of the association.


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Development and tracking of the timeline of operations, and ensuring all activities are conducted timely.
  • Provide support to the Sponsorship Unit for the fundraising of the congress.
  • Coordinate all contracted suppliers with the Annual Meeting. 
  • Oversee and control the Annual Meeting budget.
  • Manage the bid process for future host cities.
  • Manage the Annual Meeting Unit staff (currently 4 employees): provide leadership to achieve the goals of the organization, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the unit. Responsible for hiring, training, and motivating staff, supporting them with career development. Review key indicators and performances through the evaluation process, and approve leave requests.
  • Collaborate with the other Unit Managers.
  • Represent EBMT with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience scheduling and organizing small through to large-scale events.
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Team management experience
  • Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Fluent English both spoken and written
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people in a multicultural/multilingual environment
  • Strategic and analytical thinking. Team leader. Initiative and innovation. Quick learner with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work simultaneously on different projects and prioritize efficiently when multiple demands are present. Ability to adapt to unexpected challenges, and solve problems. Attention to detail. Negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to national & international venues (approx.15-20 days per year)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule


Desirable

  • Master in Event management
  • Experience in Professional Congress Organizer supporting Associations Congress
  • Experience organizing events in the healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of EBMT and JACIE’s activities and general educational issues
  • Use of databases
  • Fluent in Spanish both spoken and written

  • Full-time position and indefinite contract (37.5 hours working week).
  • Flexible working hours (starting from 8 to 10 am and finish accordingly).
  • 26 days of vacation per year.
  • Salary: 43,231.00 – 50,343.00 gross/year (depending on previous experience).
