The EBMT is a non-profit medical and scientific organisation which hosts a unique patient registry providing a pool of data to perform studies and assess new trends.

Your mission


Partly responsible for generating revenue for the society by negotiating service packages with pharmaceutical companies and non-commercial organisations.


Responsibilities and Tasks


  • Business Management: connecting with pharma for the short-term projects, identifying sales opportunities and pitching services. Managing the short-term business portfolio. Networking: responsible for maintaining a good and strong working relationship with EBMT WP chairs and pharmaceutical clients, anticipating all their needs.
  • Negotiations with pharma: assisting in start-to-end management in closing deals. Finalizing the subject of the study, contents of contract, services, and budget, all in close collaboration with the BDM and EBMT units that are involved.
  • Contracting: together with EBMT’s legal representative and BDM, the post holder identifies, draws up, negotiates, reviews and finalizes contracts.
  • Provide feedback to the Business Development Manager, Operational units and Finance. Keeping the CRM system up to date.
  • Collaborate with Working Party chairs on the WP study portfolio and grant applications for scientific input. Collaborate and liaise with the Marketing, Communications, Education and Sponsorship Units/Departments.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English, excellent oral and written skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration, Economics or Health Sciences (Scientific degree level or equivalent).
  • 4-6 Years of work experience in business management / sales in relation to non-profit organizations or pharmaceutical companies.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in creating budgets
  • Experience dealing with pharma
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Review of legal contracts
  • Experience in clinical studies
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel,
  • Experience in working with Salesforce or similar CRM system.
  • Good communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with people in a multicultural / multilingual environment
  • Capacity of influence, negotiating skills, focus on customers’ needs
  • Initiative, self-starter but also team player
  • Work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to national and international events to lead, participate in and facilitate meetings (approx.20 days per year)


Desirable


  • Knowledge of non-profit organizations
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Knowledgeable about Hematology, Hematologic Stem Cell
  • Transplant programs and Cell/Gene therapies

  • Full-time position (36 hours/week)
  • Flexible working hours (starting from 8 am to 10 am and finishing accordingly).
  • 1-month probation period.
  • Temporary contract for 12 months. You will be offered a permanent contract upon proven suitability. 
  • 25 days of vacation per year
  • Salary scale 10 between € 3.340 - max. € 5.294 gross per month depending on previous experience, excluding end-of-the-year payment and 8% holiday remuneration.
