The EBMT is a non-profit medical and scientific organisation which hosts a unique patient registry providing a pool of data to perform studies and assess new trends.

YOUR MISSION

Developing, implementing, and preserving the EBMT human resources policies and practices. The policy´s objective is to attract the best candidates and ensure the preservation of our valuable staff, thereby supporting the EBMT strategic plan for the upcoming three years.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS


1) General HR Leadership for All EBMT Offices:


  • Design, monitor, and refine overarching HR strategies in sync with the Organization's Strategic Plan.
  • Ensure uniform application of HR policies, collaborating closely with HR Managers in Barcelona and Paris.
  • Construct and periodically update a compensation strategy grounded in market research and pay surveys.
  • Foster organizational growth by emphasizing talent development, engagement, and retention.
  • Champion an effective performance review system, promoting excellence and job satisfaction.
  • Streamline and bolster existing HR systems and practices.


2) Direct HR Oversight for LEIDEN Office:


  • Evaluate the current HR landscape in the Leiden office and initiate improvements.
  • Conduct salary evaluations, manage the benefits program, and oversee payroll specifics for The Netherlands.
  • Regularly update job descriptions ensuring they adhere to regional regulations.
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring processes exclusively for the LEIDEN office.
  • Maintain a strong grasp on legal regulations, ensuring HR compliance at all times.
  • Cultivate a constructive workplace atmosphere.
  • Oversee the physical management of the Leiden office.


3) Additional Duties:


  • Furnish the Executive Director and leadership team with critical HR insights and data for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Finance Manager and Legal Advisor.
  • Lead and inspire your team. Engage in recruitment, career development, and performance assessments to spotlight achievements and address challenges.




Requirements


  • Degree in Law or Psychology; Master's in HR.
  • 15+ years in HR within a multicultural environment.
  • 10+ years of team management.
  • Experience in the medical sector.
  • Demonstrated skills in recruiting, staff development, and evaluations.
  • Solid track record in crafting and executing HR policies.
  • Advised on disciplinary actions and lawsuits, and liaised with legal teams; attended/declared at court sessions.
  • Negotiated with worker representatives and unions.
  • Handled compensation, benefits, and people analytics.
  • Familiarity with Dutch Labor Law.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Fluent in English, working knowledge of Dutch; multilingualism a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in a diverse environment.
  • Leadership prowess, analytical mindset, and strategic vision.
  • Expertise in change management, negotiations, and stakeholder management.
  • Digital acumen.
  • Ready to travel (6-10 days/year) to our various offices.
  • Adept at multitasking across projects and setting priorities.


Nice to Have:


  • Familiarity with HRIS (e.g., Factorial).
  • Awareness of all EBMT activities.
  • Previous experience in non-profit sectors.

  • Based in Leiden or surroundings - attendance to EBMT offices 2 days per week and working remotely 3 days.
  • Full-time position (36 hours/week)
  • Flexible working hours (starting from 8 am to 10 am and finishing accordingly).
  • 1-month probation period.
  • Temporary contract for 12 months (possibility to renew the contract if both parties agree).
  • 25 days of vacation per year
  • Salary: 60.000 -71.000 euros gross/year depending on the experience (including End-of-the-year payment and 8% holiday remuneration)
