The EBMT is a non-profit medical and scientific organisation which hosts a unique patient registry providing a pool of data to perform studies and assess new trends.

JACIE (the Joint Accreditation Committee ISCT-Europe and the EBMT) is Europe’s only official accreditation body in the field of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and cellular therapy (CT). It promotes high-quality patient care and medical and laboratory practice through a profession led, voluntary accreditation scheme. 


Your mission

Manage the day-to-day operations, lead the JACIE team, and work with the external stakeholders to ensure that the accreditation process meets their needs. 


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • To supervise the day-to-day activities of the Accreditation Programme.
  • To Support the Medical Officer in the management of inspection reports.
  • To ensure that the HR policies are followed and that all staff have an annual appraisal and training & development plan agreed. Recruitment and induction of new staff.
  • To ensure that JACIE meets all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • To support the educational activities of JACIE either as a trainer, presenter, or organiser.
  • Ensure that all staff are working within the quality management system and monitor the adherence to processes, by carrying out audits when required.
  • To develop business and quality assurance plans as well as the infrastructure for the unit.
  • Identify and resolve operational and strategic issues liaising with the key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources and lead process improvement. Together with the Director, A&QoC, manage the unit’s financial processes including developing, monitoring and analysing budget for the unit.

 


Requirements

  • Degree level qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a managerial position
  • Experience leading multicultural teams, based in different locations
  • Fluent in English. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to travel to national and international venues to participate in and facilitate meetings
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and effective interpersonal skills. Able to influence people, solve problems, troubleshoot, think creatively, and resolve conflicts.
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and change management skills.
  • Analytical & strategic thinking. initiative & innovation. Focus on customers’ (internal and external) needs. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent planning and organizational skills.



Desirable

  • MBA or postgraduate degree in management
  • Demonstrable experience in working for/with accreditation bodies or audits
  • Demonstrable experience in working with Quality Systems 
  • Familiar with JACIE (processes, scientific papers describing its benefits, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable about HSC transplant programs and their different services and new cell therapies

  • Full-time position and indefinite contract (37.5 hours working week).
  • Flexible working hours (starting from 8 to 10 am and finish accordingly).
  • 26 days of vacation per year.
  • Salary: 43.231 – 50.343 gross/year (depending on previous experience).
