The EBMT is a non-profit medical and scientific organisation which hosts a unique patient registry providing a pool of data to perform studies and assess new trends.

Your mission

Responsible for leading the application management team, database quality assurance and project coordination.


Responsibilities and Tasks

Project Coordination and communication:

  • Design, development, maintenance and evaluation of system processes. Coordinate technical projects by leading staff and making decisions on the allocation of relevant resources.

 Database compliance and security

  • Ensuring the database is up-to-date regarding European legislation in collaboration with EBMT’s quality management unit
  • Actively monitor and implement IT security measures

  Service Development

  • Explore users’ needs and offer solutions within available resources in collaboration with the EBMT helpdesk and data operations team.

  Staff Management

  • Manage the team including 1 to 1s appraisals/staff performance reviews, training, support, recruitment, holidays and absence.

Education & Professional Development

  • Develop and design training in application management and technical skills.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English, excellent written and oral skills
  • At least 5 years’ experience as Data Analyst or similar.
  • Experience with managing large databases and projects, with indicators and goals.
  • Knowledge of data collection in a clinical / research setting, and clinical data itself (ideally hematology).
  • Knowledge of database and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Solid strategic and analytical skills. Strong problem-solving, hands-on attitude.
  • Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and manage deadlines.


Desirable

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Previous experience as manager or supervising & leading teams
  • Familiar with trends in IT, data collection systems and database security
  • Familiarized with OMOP CDM or other CDM and data standardization 
  • SCRUM, ITIL, PRINCE2 or similar

  • Full-time position (36 hours/week)
  • Flexible working hours (starting from 8am to 10am and finish accordingly).
  • 1 month probation period
  • 25 days of vacation per year
  • Salary: 60.000 - 70.000 euros gross/annual (including 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end of year bonus)
